Why is Israel allowed to keep stealing land from the Palestinians?

The west bank is supposed to belong to the palestinians but every day the Israelis take more and more and the world powers don't seem to care. If it had been Sadam taking land from Kuwait it might have caused a war!

They are trying to destroy the Palestine people and yes the world seems not to care.*

In 1967 the Arab world along with the Palestinians attacked Israel with no provocation other than they sought to eradicate the Jews from the face of the earth. Israel, out numbered 20 to 1 drove back the attackers and acquired land. Those lands are the lands that Israel's enemies want back. Israel allowed the Palestinians to stay and occupy the land. Israel has had continual attacks against them by the Palestinians since. Israel has made several peace agreements with them allowing for settlement. There was one agreement that gave them the land if they would stop warring with Israel, but they have kept up the continuous bombing. There is no way that the two can live in peace as long as the Palestinians want the Israelis dead even at the expense of their own life.

The sad part of this whole story is that people like you have no clue as to the facts of what happened, but continue to spread hate for someone you don't even know. You may think that you know the facts,, but all you really know is a distorted, warped version of history. With the endless possibilities for knowledge on the internet there is no excuse for the irrational ignorance dilpayed by some of the questions found here.

That land belongs to Israel until such time as the Palestinians elect a government that finalizes a deal to actually take control of the land. Israel took the land during the two major wars it fought with it's Arab neighbors following it's creation. As long as Palestinians would rather kill Israelis than have their own land they are NOT a nation. They are a refugee group living within Israel's borders.

That said, I agree with you that Israel should be required to stop expanding settlements and roll back any existing ones by the west, without whom Israel would never have existed, and likely would cease to exist in the future. But you can't call it 'stealing land' when the Palestinians do not have their own nation and do not own the land.

Israel originally took Palestinian territory for strategic reasons after they took part in various invasions (1949, 1967, 1973).

The world powers are split - and a bit passive - on the issue because time and time again Palestine has failed to uphold it's side of peace agreements. The west doesn't want to reward Palestine for using terrorism as a bargaining chip in the negotiations.

I don't think Israel should be expanding it's settlements, but it's certainly not as one sided as you suggest.

Israel isn't stealing land from anyone. When the Jews arrived from Europe, what's known as Israel was a vast wasteland swamp land. The Arabs living there were nomads. There's no such thing as a Palestinian. The Arabs living there were from other Arab countries. You don't see these other Arab countries welcoming them home with open arms.

Today, Israel is a gorgeous country because of the hard work the Jews did out of determination to survive, despite daily murderous attacks by the Arabs. Why should the Arabs there be entitled to anything, when the Jews made it the magnificent country it is today. It's as westernized as the U.S. and walking in any of the 3 major cities, you'd think you're in NY, Chicago, or L.A.

Israel belongs to the Jews period. They were happy to live along side f the Arabs until the Arabs declared a life long war against them. It's not the Jews who don't want the Arabs there, it's the other way around. So,, before you make your youthful statements based on nothing get the facts.

And the nation of Palestine is where?...OH that is right ...THERE IS NO NATION OF PALISTINE...That land was won in a WAR that the nomadic Palistanian people and other Arab nations started and Israel fought back and won....Funny how the ones suppotting the TERRORISTIC Palis...keep forgetting little things like ...FACTS....

The "West Bank" never belonged to the Palestinians. It was part of Jordan and Jordan lost it in a war. I don't think Jordan wants it back.

Don't you think this will cause a war, all it is going to take, is for the Arabs or Iranians to have a nuclear warhead and up goes Israel.
