Can anyone tell me how to beat the carniva/amusement park game Bank-A-Ball, also known as Rebound?

It's when you throw a ball towards a basically vertical board and you want it to land in the bucket underneath it.

my idea for it is to throw it palm down flicking yoru wrist upwards

You basicly want to throw underhand and spin the ball upwards as you release.
