did you know that the oil lobby and auto lobby have done their darndest to prevent new inventions and new technology from being developed as alternatives? and that the only reason they allowed ethanol to take root was because they knew it was inherently flawed to convert food to gasoline and that it was really a step backward from where we want to be at?

There was an oil specialist back in the 1950's who pointed out there was going to be a peak and lo and behold in the 1970's decades later there was an oil crises and an Oil War in the Middle East at the same time scientists were trying to tell people to stop using oil. There is a peak in awareness once every few decades but the frusterating thing is it is just that and then more of the same. A Car Non Proliferation Treaty would be nice but since cars are not seen as dangerous as nukes for all the damage they do is equal nothing can be done. People think this is my automobile it is not a threat. Now as to those Arabs laughing on the way to the bank a Non Oil Proliferation Use Treaty might help. Maybe someone has to put a Security Council Measure forward even to get rid of production of oil based cars. No one is concerned that Pakistan or Iran has cars only nukes. Suppose the concern was about Global Warming and Oil Based Cars. Ah what's the use.
