Is there a bank in America that uses the EURO for CDs?

In the Chicago land area specifically?

Check out Everbank.com for several foreign currency CD options with FDIC insurance. There are other banks as well.

Nope. It's illegal. That's why places like London and Zurich are gaining financial leadership from the US. In many other countries, you can have an account in any currency that you and the bank can agree on, but we're stuck with outdated regulations designed to make calculations easier for the auditors. (And we all know what a lot of good that did.)

Sorry Ted, but JohnGalt is correct. Everbank rolled out foriegn currency, FDIC insured CDs last year. They are completely legal.

Through Everbank you can get a Euro CD, or a multi-currency CD.
